I think I missed another week…darn. Can’t keep up with blogging! (I’m making up for it with two posts today!)

The big news, which I’ve already shared in my post for the Bloggers’ Quilt Festival, is that I finally finished my second quilt! It’s my Rainbow New Wave, a quilt top I finished months ago but was dragging on finishing up the binding. I love it and I’m keeping it for myself!

I also made another iPhone case with this super-easy tutorial from Apple Blue, with the additions of a fusible fleece interface and a few quilting lines to better secure the Velcro. I used some of my precious Daiwabo Elephants, the thicker canvassy kind.

Last but not least, the stuff I haven’t touched this week:

Quilt tops in progress:

Kieran’s robot quilt
Livy’s wonky star quilt
Colorful log cabin quilt

Completed quilt tops, waiting for quilting:

Delia’s Central Park log cabin quilt
Tattooed Ladies mini quilt

Small projects in progress:

Starburst Leftovers mug rug

This week’s stats:

Last week’s in-progress projects: 7
New projects – 1
Completed projects – 2
Currently in progress – 6

Not much progress this week – it’s been a very hectic week! (Unfortunately, next week isn’t looking great either in terms of creative time…)

Most of my progress came in the form of fabric shopping! I finally got a Kona color card which I am SO excited about, and I stocked up on some solids. And I finally got my hands on some Ruby Star Rising Viewfinder! I’ve been craving it for months…I have to figure out something amazing to make for myself with it!

I did complete a couple small projects this week – starting with a zipper pouch to hold a gift card/thank you note for my wonderful friend who helped out with dogsitting (I love that Joel Dewberry tree fabric):

And then I made a cute little iPhone sleeve for my brand-spanking-new iPhone 4S! I used this super-easy tutorial from Apple Blue. (I think I’ll make another one with some fusible fleece lining to add a bit more protection, but this one is good enough for now!)

I discovered a super fun new iPhone app (new to me, that is) called OmniSketch. It lets you sketch using different brushes and you can turn on mirroring to make your sketch into a kaleidoscope-like image! It’s a fun way to try out different color combinations…for instance, I really want to make a quilt using these colors:
