I finished my 241 Tote bag! The pattern was very easy to follow. I am feeling a little emotional about how much of my Loulouthi stash I used on this (the lining is Loulouthi also), but I guess I have to remember that I buy fabric to make stuff with it, not to keep folded in a box! It was hard to get a good picture of it. My favorite part is how I added a few scraps to the strap (which you can just barely see in the 2nd photo).

I’m still plugging away on my Central Park HST baby quilt – the baby this quilt is intended for was born on Monday night!

It’s in serious need of some pressing. I love Central Park! This bit of patchwork is turning out a little smaller than I thought it would so I think I am going to add a big border in light purple. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with quilting – maybe just straight white lines through the white stripes?

Here’s the in-progress inventory:

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

Wow…not much progress to report since my last WiP (two weeks ago)! Crazy work deadlines, a weekend spent taking care of my niece and my sister’s dog, and more crazy work deadlines = not much progress.

I’m still finishing up the secret solids quilt top, and I have to finish up the Central Park HST quilt too (in fact, I may go do that right now). The only thing I really made any progress on was starting a 241 Tote bag (pattern by Noodlehead):

All I’ve done is cut out the exterior pieces (I still need to cut out the lining and most of the interfacing). I love the fabrics I chose (two of my favorite Loulouthi prints and one Hope Valley plus the solid Kona Windsor). I am not crazy about cutting out curved pieces and will be happy when the cutting is behind me and I can get onto the sewing! I’m also a little worried about selecting a print with a mostly white background for a purse, it’ll probably get really dirty, but oh well…too late now. I wanted a large scale print!
