I just returned from a wonderful long weekend in New England (two days in Boston, two days in Maine). One of the highlights of the trip was going through my grandmother’s old sewing box as well as all her fabric scraps!

This is just a small selection of the sewing tools I inherited from my grandmother; most of the others have already been incorporated into my day-to-day sewing. These are the items I chose to keep from the sewing box:

I especially love the metal cased tape measure. It has such a pleasant weight to it, and seems extremely well made. The tweezers are wonderfully engraved, too; I’ll need to get a close-up of photo of them at some point!
